ACTAtek™ is an easy-to-use off-the-shelf web-based SSL-encrypted biometric, smart card & PIN Access Control and/or Time and Attendance unit with all control, configuration and administrative management rights accessible via any standard web browser. All communication between the system and the web is extensively encrypted via SSL to provide additional security to users. Reports from the administration website can be exported to any .csv or .txt file for easy upload to almost any payroll system. And ACTAtek™ is easily integrated with most all telecom, burglary and fire alarm systems operating independently.
The ACTAtek™ is available for up to 30,000 users and the unit will perform the necessary functions using up to two of the three authentication options, SSL-encrypted biometric, smart card & PIN without the need for a dedicated PC or any cumbersome server software, as it is all built into the unit. The unit sits right on your network with its own IP address, and can be standalone or networked, much like a network printer is installed and utilized.
Installation can be done by any locksmith with low voltage experience by mounting the unit outside the entryway to be secured, and connected to a standard network cable. An electric strike or magnetic lock is then installed in the door for the unit to actuate when a user authenticates and ACTAtek™ keeps a data log of all access! An optional built in CMOS internal camera allows the administrator to see who the user is upon each authentication preventing unwanted guest “piggy backing” in and allowing remote entry access.
